Draw my Heart

     My latest inspirational thoughts have  been about how God draws us to Him, or woos us. Also a couple weeks ago my thought grew with how we say, "we couldn't do it without Him," Christian life, that is. I wondered then why do I feel so independent and alone in my pursuit of heaven, righteousness, my discipleship, call it what you will.
     One morning awhile back the verse, "My grace is sufficient for you" 2 Corinthians 12:9 was read. That morning that verse really got my attention like it hadn't before, I guess I had been feeling burdened and that morning it just felt like God had spoken that verse to me. It then opened my eyes to ways God woos us, and how he cares about us.
     The next Sunday morning the song, "The heartbeat of God" was going through my mind. The chorus goes, "The heartbeat of God means life and love to me. I don't want to be in doubt or troubled misery, so draw me closer, Father up above, that I may always feel your hearbeat of love." ( One of my mom's favorite songs) I had been thinking about God drawing us to Him and several more songs about that came to my mind, then the song "Nearer My God to Thee" was led, one of the very songs I was thinking of, as if in my meditations God was conversing with me and acknowledging my thoughts of Him. Now I have been looking for ways that God woos me and how He turns our hearts to Him.
