Unfathomable Love
I seen Him hanging on the cross, blood dripping down His face, the crown of thorns thrust on His head. There was agony spelled out in every inch of His being. His head was drooping as if unconscious. I stood frozen to the ground, horrified.
In that moment I seen Him, really seen Him, and my heart broke at the image before me. I began frantically yelling at Him, "Get off! Come down from there!" Please come down! Please, please get off! You don't have to stay on there! Get off!!! PLEASE, please come down from there, you don't have to do that for me!"
The scene changed and suddenly He was beside me, dressed in white. His face radiated love. He looked down at me, eyes full of compassion, and a hint of a smile. I was awestruck by His overwhelming presense and the attention He commanded. I timidly reached out and touched his clothed arm. A peace only described as heavenly washed through me. Love, so overwhelming and pure enveloped my whole being. As He gazed at me, watching my reaction, He said, "I did it for you."
