Christmas Love

"Fear Not, For thou hast found favor with God!"
With softened tones the angel spoke to Mary.

"You will bring forth a son, and shalt call His name Jesus.
The Son of the Highest in your womb will you carry.”
Mary was overflowing with wonder and amazement.
"He that is mighty surely hath done to me great things!"
She rejoiced as she began to understand what she'd seen
and the exciting news brought to her by angel's wings.
The Savior everybody for so long had been waiting for,
Was finally about to enter the cursed and dying world.
Mary must have been humbled as in her mind
God's whole plan of Salvation became unfurled.

"Fear Not, I bring you good tidings of great joy!"
The lowly shepherds shook and trembled at the sight.
The angel spoke calmly yet with excitement and continued,
"A Savior, which is Christ the Lord, was born tonight!"
The shepherds, left their sheep and ran with haste.
They found the babe as the angel had proclaimed,
Wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.
There they worshipped the babe with joy, unashamed.

God so loved the world, He gave His only Son.
He didn't send Him to punish or condemn,
Nor to place judgments on the human race,
But to give us eternal life if we believe in Him.
Love was manifested in this Christmas story.
The spiritual depth can be hard to understand,
But God, through His redeeming love, sent His Son.
Eternal life, he gave us, by his loving hand.

This Christmas season let's take a look
at the value we've placed on God's love.
His love is perfect and casts out fear.
Worries and distresses, we become free of.
His perfect love can heal a broken heart.
It can make spiritual blinded eyes to see.
He lovingly forgives the vilest of sinners.
By His love He sets the captive free.

We may dismiss the thought that God loves us
For we've been told that since childhood.
Until we don't feel it, we expect it.
Do we value His love the way we should?
If we did, wouldn’t we take more time to listen to a friend?
Together, laughter and burdens we'd share..
Wouldn't we stop more often to help someone in need?
Don't you think we'd handle His love with more care?
"Fear not, for thou, have found favor with God!"
This loving message, to everyone, He sends.
This Christmas let's except God's gift of love,
Value it, let it grow, and share it with our friends
