Love is Everything

God is Love. The heavens tell it. Stars above in brilliance spell it.

We live in a world full of hate, selfishness, and greed. We may go through life feeling cheated, misunderstood, or even offended at someone for their actions. I am doing myself no favor when I hold someone for something they have or haven't done. What good will it do if I go around feeling like people aren't treating me the way I think they should? It doesn't get me anywhere.
I've been thinking about some of my friends, my siblings, and how love emphatically has its part to play. Think of love for a bit. It's unselfish, caring, warm, and pure. I found that if I have the proper love in my heart for everybody I am with throughout my day, how amazing it makes me feel. I can watch my sister dump my drawers out and I can laugh. I can put my projects aside and spend time with my little bros and have some lovely times that I wouldn't have had if I thought my stuff was more important. I can accept people for what they are and not what I think they should be.

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
