Just Passing Through
It was a beautiful morning. The air was crisp and cool. The sun was already beginning to warm things up. As I walked along the drive, I held my skirt up a bit and swept my eyes across our sweet potato field. Bordering it are a couple orchards of almonds. It felt good to get out, stretch a bit, and get some fresh air in my lungs. I looked around at all my surroundings. I realized that I enjoyed the familiarity of it all. I thought, "This is home!..."
My brother took some of my siblings and I out on the lake one evening. After swimming around a bit, we grilled steaks and also had spam sandwiches for dinner. The stars came out and the whole scene was amazing. Every space in the sky was occupied with a bright glowing star that seemed to be dancing with freedom. I leaned back gazing into the night sky, and tried to capture this scene in my memory. I thought, "Wow, this is God's creation!.."
The drive was long. I wonder why the coast is so awesome!? As we're nearing the beach I strain my eyes past the hills that obstruct my view and try to get my first glimpse of the ocean. We finally arrived, but had to share it with lots of other people. That didn't bother me much though. Us girls ran for the water and went splashing through the rolling waves. It felt amazingly refreshing to swim in the cool water. On our way home, I thought, "That was awesome."
And this is just temporary...We are promised something better and more beautiful.
John 14:1-3
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

John 14:1-3
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
