Peace in the Midst of Turmoil
There is a Price for Peace.
Luke 14:31-33
31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.
33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
My day started out bad with restless children screaming at each other. My sis spilled a whole bucket of water on the carpet and my bro started yelling at her to clean it up. They don't know how to clean up their own messes because they don't ever have to. They have their mother and older sis to do that for them so I don't know why they were yelling at each other to clean it up when they know that in the end, neither of them would do it.
The next aggravating thing was all the screaming. The kids run around in the house yelling at the top of their lunges for no reason. That just creates more energy and restlessness. My lil 2 yr. old sis, Shania, is catching the vibe. The kids had brought in a kitten and were letting it run around on the table. So she gets on the table, starts running around, picks up the kitten by the tail, and throws it across the room.
You would think they would start calming down after they started coloring, but no. While coloring they try mimicking the way the Mexican workers talk. And again, that's being said at the top of their lungs. That was actually kind of funny;)
You would think when they started playing house after they were tired of coloring, that they would settle down a little. No....My lil bro decides he's gona pretend hes a 3 yr. old and Chantal is the Mom... He starts crawling around and acts like he doesn't know how to say anything. I'm trying to sew at the same time. He crawls under the table and presses on my sewing presser foot and sews an ugly looking stitch thru the fabric. His excuse, " I'm 3!" I have to admit that I did yell at them a few times. I wasn't in a good mood and that made me start to think. I really don't want to feel like this. If I would not yell, get frustrated, but try to calm them down and channel their energy in a less annoying way, none of this would have happened! If I want there to be peace and more quiet, I have to do my part and try to create it.

Ephesians 4:1-3
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;3 Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
